On 23 February 2026, a dissemination event of the Erasmus+ project “MentorScape: Crafting Bias-Free Classrooms in Europe” was held in Portugal, engaging teachers and educational stakeholders in discussions on inclusive education and bias awareness.
The event provided an overview of the project’s main achievements, including the development of a Teacher’s Handbook and a Mentorship Program aimed at supporting educators in identifying and reducing bias in the classroom.
Participants were introduced to a range of practical tools, such as reflection exercises, classroom observation checklists, and inclusive teaching strategies. These tools were designed to help teachers better understand how bias can affect their interactions with students and to support the creation of more equitable learning environments.
The mentorship approach was highlighted as a key innovation of the project, promoting peer support and continuous professional development. Teachers expressed interest in applying mentorship practices within their schools and recognised the value of collaborative learning.
The event contributed to raising awareness of the importance of inclusive education and reinforced the potential of the MentorScape results to support teachers in Portugal.
